Lucia "Lucy" C. (DeGiorgio) Karichkowsky

Troy - Lucia C. DeGiorgio Karichkowsky, 82, died Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn Albany after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Sebastian DeGiorgio and Mary Prezio DeGiorgio and wife of the late Gary Karichkowsky. She resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School. 

Lucy was a programmer for New York State Bill Drafting for 35 years and later worked for Price Chopper and Walmart in Brunswick.  

Survivors include her beloved grandson, Matthew Westcott, Troy; her dog, Goof and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Tracy M. Garner; her siblings, Laura DeGiorgio, Sebastian D. DeGiorgio, Eleanor Daniels, Filomena Carello, Nicholas S. DeGiorgio, Joseph DeGiorgio, Elizabeth Ruggeri, Mary Trad, Amelia DeNice and Emily Colwell and a dear friend, Donna Smith.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 2PM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Julie Corron, officiating.
