Louis "Lou" C. Sanders, Sr.

Brunswick - Louis C. Sanders, Sr., 62, died suddenly Monday, September 19, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Albany, he was son of Annette Rizzo Sanders and the late Thomas B. Sanders and husband for 37 years of Antoinette M. Dunham Sanders. He had resided in the Troy area most of his life and was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Albany. 

Lou was a mason for New York State Office of General Services in Albany retiring June 2022.  

He enjoyed camping, boating, puzzles, tinkering, football, Six Flags (especially roller coasters), the beach, and spending time with family.    

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include his children, Louis Sanders Jr., Anthony Sanders,  Olivia Sanders and Juliana Sanders; his siblings, Donna (Omar) Mohammed, Thomas (Charleen) Sanders, Judy Sanders, Kenny Sanders, and his nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service is private at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.
