Poestenkill - Lorraine T. Angus, 82, died Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Harry Lever and Emily Hartnagle; her stepmother, Helen Lever and wife of the late Robert Angus and Robert Brinkman. She was raised in Grafton, and lived in Troy, Poestenkill, Averill Park, Snyders Lake, Watervliet, Caroga Lake, Homosassa, FL, and most recently back to Poestenkill. She was a graduate of Grafton and Berlin Schools.
Lorraine was a secretary for several offices, including several law firms and Sterling Drug.
Lorraine and her family loved boating on Sacandaga Lake and Caroga Lake where they owned a home. She enjoyed watching Siena Basketball.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Julie) Brinkman Jr., Berne, Debra (David) Ryan, Poestenkill and Eric (Shari) Brinkman, Poestenkill; her grandchildren, Adam (Rachel) Brinkman and Justin Ryan; several great grandchildren; her siblings, Jennie (David) Blackburn, Linda (Kevin) Bleau, Ann (Michael) Dumas, Janet (Lou) Magni, Cindy LaBrake, Timmy Lever, Tina (Bruce) Sorel, Mary Hartnagle and Donna Hartnagle: sister-in-law, Pam Lever and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by siblings, Denny Lever, Edie Cook, Sharon Hartnagle, William Hartnagle and Johnnie Lever.
The family would like to thank the Van Rensselaer Manor B2 for their care and kindness.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Ave. Troy on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 3-5PM with a service at 5PM with Rev. Jim Knapp, officiating.
