Troy - Lloyd S. Schiesser, 79, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Rosewood Gardens in East Greenbush, after a long illness.
Born in Appleton, WI, he was son of the late Gordon Schiesser and Alice Baker Schiesser and husband for 7 years of Joan Collins Whitney Schiesser and husband for 39 years of, the late, Donna E. Dustin Schiesser. He was a graduate of New London High School in Wisconsin and the Farm-Industry Short Course at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Lloyd was a heating service technician for John Ray & Son in Troy for 15 years, retiring in 2010 and after retirement worked as a gas pump technician for Ray Energy.
He was a member of Experimental Aircraft Association, the Disabled American Veterans and the Community Church of Grafton. He was an Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War where he received a Purple Heart.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Joan, include his son, Mark A. Schiesser, Poestenkill; his siblings, Anita (Richard) Sloane, Nielsville, WI, Beverley (Ed) Marshall, Blachley, OR, Elaine Garza, New London, WI, Janis (Bruce) Pederson, Plainfield, WI and Raymond (Judy) Schiesser, Hortonville, WI; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Lorrey Ciske.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 9-11AM prior to the funeral service at 11AM, with Rev. Andrew Nelson, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of East Poestenkill.
Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery Barberville.
