Troy - Kirsten Leigh Whitman-Hope, 49, died suddenly Friday, February 6, 2026.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of Gerald W. Whitman and the late Vera C. Teetsell Whitman and wife of the late Joseph G. Hope. She had resided all her life in Troy and was a graduate of Troy High School and attended Becker College in Worcester, MA.
Kirsten was a veterinary technician for Miller Animal Hospital for 25 years
Animals were her passion and she loved horseback riding and country music. Kirsten was an avid football fan, especially the Buffalo Bills.
Survivors in addition to her father include a daughter, Victoria Catherine Hope, Troy; step daughter, Sarah Garrison, Troy; a brother, Kurt Whitman, Troy; a niece, Alyssa Whitman and a nephew, Ethan Whitman.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 9-11 AM with a funeral service following at 11 AM with Rev. David Martin, officiating.
Interment will be in Memory Gardens Colonie.
