Kathleen C. (Cox) Geiser

West Sand Lake - Kathleen C. Geiser, 71, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by family after a brief illness. 

Born in Cohoes, she was daughter of the late William Cox and Veronica Brosky Cox and wife for 48 years of Wayne F. Geiser. 

She was raised in South Troy, moving to Rutland, Vermont in 1976, to Wynantskill in 1987 and resided in West Sand Lake since 1996. She was a graduate of Troy High School, class of 1971 and became a Registered Nurse from Hudson Valley Community College in 1973. 

Kathy was a Registered Nurse for Rutland Regional Medical Center from 1976-1986, then at Albany Medical Center and at the Center for Disability Services, retiring in 2014. 

Kathy enjoyed going to lunch with many of her friends, and many family activities. She and Wayne have traveled with their travel trailer since their retirement in 2014, making many trips to the Rocky Mountains, Grand Canyon, Utah Canyons, Acadia National Park, and White Mountains of New Hampshire. 

Survivors in addition to her husband include her siblings, Denise A. (Frank) Gilianelli, NJ, David G. (DeeDee) Cox, Stillwater, Robert (Joanne) Cox, Latham, Susan C. (John Jr.) Brady, Troy and Donna J. (James) Connor, Halfmoon; a sister-in-law, Donna Nystoriak; 6 nieces; 5 nephews; 7 great nieces; 6 great nephews and a great great niece and a great great nephew. She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Michael Nystoriak and a nephew, Ian Byrnes.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 4-7PM. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 13 at 10AM at the funeral home with Rev. Edward Kacerguis, officiating.
