Kathaleen "Kay" A. (Guilana) Guyette

Troy - Kathaleen A. Guilana Guyette, 98, died Friday, March 21, 2025, at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center Troy, after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Peter Guilana and Maria Pujolar Guilana and wife of the late David J. Guyette. She had resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Kay was employed as a graduate secretary in the Physics Department and Nuclear Engineering of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for 20 years retiring in 1989 and prior to that worked in accounting at Cluett, Peabody & Company in Troy.

She volunteered at the Samaritan Hospital Information Desk for many years and a member of the Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary, the Troy Chapter of the AARP, Sycaway Seniors and WAYS - We Are Young Seniors. She was a long time member of the Brunswick Church in Brunswick.  

Survivors include two sons, David P. Guyette, Italy and Timothy P. (Catherine) Guyette, Wilton; her grandchildren, Sgt. David J. Guyette III, Nicole Guyette, Gary Guyette and  Peter D and Christine M. Guyette and her great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Isabel and Daemon Guyette.  She was predeceased by a sister, Marie E. Margosian and her daughter-in-law, Jean Ann Guyette. 

Funeral service private at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
