North Greenbush - Judith Edwards Goyer, 81, died Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Elwood E. Edwards and Catherine A. Peckham Edwards and wife for 50 years of the late Thomas Michael Goyer. She was a resident of Wynantskill all her life and was a 1960 graduate of Troy High School.
Judi was a secretary for New York State Division of Parole Personnel for 20 plus years, retiring in 2006. She was an active communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church in Troy and a member of the church choir and Daughters of the King. Judi was an avid reader, enjoying Nicholas Sparks romantic novels and enjoyed watching her favorite Hallmark movies.
Survivors include two daughters, Wendy Goyer, Cohoes and Denise (James) DeMarco, Indian Land, SC; a sister, Nancy E. Casteras, Colonia, NJ; her grandchildren, Isabella (Michael) Hobbs, Sophia DiGioacchino, Josephine Goyer, Marisa DeMarco and Carly DeMarco; a niece and several nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 4-7 PM. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 9, 2024 at 10AM at St. John's Episcopal Church 146 First Street Troy with Rev. Judith Malionek, Rector, officiating.
Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
