Troy - Joseph P. Renehan, 72, of Pawling Avenue died Monday, December 28, 2020, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late Cornelius Renehan and Elizabeth Eagan Renehan and husband of Patricia Malise Renehan. He was raised in Lansingburgh, resided on the east side of Troy for 43 years and was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School and Hudson Valley Community College.
Joe was employed at Owens Corning in Delmar for several years, retiring 11 years ago.
He was a member and Post Commander of the American Legion Post #1489 Wynantskill. He was also an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Rosanne (Gene) Jablonski, Colonie; a grandson, Jake Darwak; his siblings, his twin Elizabeth Armstrong and Joan (Gene) Borden, James Renehan, Kathy Borden, Marion Istria and Margaret Renehan and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 11AM-1PM with a graveside service to follow at 1PM at St. Mary’s Cemetery Troy. Face covering and social distancing are required both outside and inside during visitation and at the graveside service. A maximum of 35 visitors are allowed in the funeral home at one time.
