Brunswick - Joseph George McMann, 54, of Tamarac Road, Troy died on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Born in Troy, he was the second of three sons born to the late George and Janet (Fostner) McMann.
Joe grew up in the Tamarac School District where he excelled in sports. He earned an accounting degree at Hudson Valley Community College and then spent over 25 years working for a waste management company before starting his own landscaping business, Evergreen Outdoor Services, where he was self-employed at the time of his death.
Joe remained an athlete in adulthood, playing in baseball and basketball leagues, running in the Turkey Trot, skiing and golfing. He was also an avid LA Raiders fan. Joe loved animals and had many animal companions throughout his life, especially his beloved dogs Penny and Max.
Survivors include his brothers Michael (Kim) and Daniel (Jennifer), a nephew Joseph McMann, a niece Madelyn McMann, several cousins and extended family. He also leaves behind a large circle of lifelong friends, in particular John Bloomingdale and Rose Pomeroy.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 4- 7PM. Face covering and social distancing are required if not vaccinated.
