Joseph S. Connair

Troy - Joseph S. Connair, 85, died Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Rosewood Gardens after a long illness.

Born in Watervliet, he was son of the late John J. Connair Sr. and Jane Cavanaugh Connair and husband for 64 years  of Ann Marie Zalucki Connair. He resided in Troy all his life and was a 1954 graduate of Troy High School. 

Joe was a tool and die maker for the Ford Motor Company in Green Island for 20 years and later a machinist for Norton Company in Watervliet for 10 years.  

He was a former member of the Tibbits Cadets, Army National Guard and a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Troy.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and many years ago playing football during his Troy High School days.

Survivors in addition to his wife include a sister, Kathy (Clifford) Hein, Troy; a cousin, Kay Mangione; several nienieces and nephews including Robert (Linda) Theilemann and Brian (Joann) Theilemann, Troy; great nieces and nephews, Brian J. (Elizabeth) Theilemann, Nicole T. and Bobby Theilemann and Chelsea (Cailden) Hunter and several cousins.  He was predeceased by a sister, Jane P. Connair and a brother, John J. Connair, Jr..

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 4- 6 PM. 

Funeral service will be held Thursday, at 9 AM at the funeral home and at 9:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Face covering and social distancing are required.
