Janet I. (Myers) Nadler

North Greenbush - Janet I. Nadler, 84, of Eastwyck Circle died Tuesday, May 03, 2022, at her residence after a brief  illness with her loving family around her.

Born in Oneonta, she was the daughter of the late Raeburn J. Myers and Irene Goodmore Myers and wife of the late Ronald Nadler. She lived on Burden Lake from 1968-1998, in Malta from 1998-2016 and has resided in North Greenbush for the past 5 1/2 years. Jan earned her Bachelor's degree from SUNY Cortland and her Health Education Certification from Russell Sage College.

Jan was a Physical Education and Health Teacher for Troy Public Schools for 28 years retiring in 1992.

She was a member of the Church of the Covenant for many years. Jan was an avid gardener and always had a large garden at her home on Burden Lake. During her retirement, she drove for CareLink and was a volunteer for the Captain's Treasures in Halfmoon. Janet loved to entertain; from Sunday family dinners to organizing Thursday afternoon drinks and chat with the Eastwyck girls.

Survivors include her children, Jodie (Kevin) Doherty, Stephentown and John Alleman, Albany; her granddaughter Angelina Doherty; her brother, David Myers; and her step-daughter, Laurie Roberts. She was predeceased by her brother, James Myers.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392NY150, West Sand Lake on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 2-3PM with a funeral service to follow at 3PM.

Interment will be in East Line Union Cemetery in Malta at a later date.
