James Fitzpatrick, Jr.

Malta - James F. Fitzpatrick, Jr., 80, died Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late James F. Fitzpatrick, Sr. and Rose Edwards Fitzpatrick and husband of the late Donna Ray Fitzpatrick. He had resided in Troy, Wynantskill for 30 years, Averill Park for 20 years and most recently in Malta. James attended Catholic Central High School and graduated from Troy High School.

For many years, Jim was in auto sales and sales manager for various Capital District dealerships and later worked as a greeter and in sales at Country True Value in East Greenbush. 

Jim's whole life and passion was cars, hot rods, street rods, races and car shows. Jim always valued spending time enjoying those things with his family and friends.

Survivors include his three sons, Stephen James Fitzpatrick, Malta, Jeffery David (Cindy) Fitzpatrick, Brunswick and William John (Tracy) Fitzpatrick, Johnsonville; his grandchildren, Sara, Thomas, Jason, Jeffery Jr., Michael, Megan, Zachary, Morgan and Abigail; his great grandchildren, Natalie, Everly, Mary Anna and one on the way; his siblings, Jack (Virginia) Fitzpatrick, Bill (Joan) Fitzpatrick and Rosemary (Frank) Breen; two nieces , and his close friend, Sally Rohl

Funeral service private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery West Sand Lake.
