Watervliet - Jacqueline R. Crable, 79, of Bell Tower Drive died Friday, March 19, 2021, at her residence after a long illness.
Born in Lethbridge Alberta, Canada, she was daughter of the late Christian Plomp and Camille Freel Plomp and wife of John E. Crable, DDS. She had resided in the Brunswick area for many years. She became a Registered Nurse at Holy Cross Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1962 and came to the United States in 1964 to Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital in Jersey City, NJ. She did post graduate work in Florida where she met her husband, John.
Jacqueline worked at Samaritan Hospital as a Registered Nurse for a year and for 30 years with her husband in his dental practice on 15th Street in Troy.
She was a member of the Troy Tennis Association, Friends of Chamber Music, Junior League of Troy and President of Pinewoods Food Co-op. She volunteered at the Brunswick Church Nursery School and taught Lamaze Natural Childbirth Classes at Samaritan Hospital for many years .
Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Paige (Raymond DeMarco) Crable, Albany and Virginia Crable (David) Markman, Guadalajara; three grandchildren, Isaac and Alicia Markman and Nicholas DeMarco; her siblings, Randy (Peggy) Plomp, Calgary, Reta Plomp, Lethbridge and Gary Plomp, Lethbridge and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life which will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 11 AM at Shaker Pointe One Bell Tower Dr Watervliet with Rev. Alexandra Lusak, officiating. A reception will follow.
Interment in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
