Helena A. (Creech) Browe

West Sand Lake - Helena A. Creech Browe, 74, died Sunday, January 8, 2023, at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late John J. Creech, Sr. and Agnes Fitzgerald Creech and wife of William T.  Browe, Sr. She had resided in West Sand Lake all her life and was a graduate of Averill Park High School. 

Helena was employed with the New York State Teachers Retirement System for 35 years, retiring 12 years ago.   

She loved spending time with family and bowling, skiing and camping.  Helena was a 4-H and Boy Scout leader. She was on the Sand Lake Youth Committee and very involved with her children during their school years. She worked as a clown and really loved clowning.    

Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Michelle (Paul) Eisenhandler, Wynantskill; a son, William T. (Courtney) Browe, Jr., Averill Park; a brother, John J. Creech Jr., Rotterdam; a sister, Maureen Corr, FL; her grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb and Mason Eisenhandler, Jack Nolan and London Browe and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Brien R. Creech Sr.
