Helen I. (Nazar) Bassett

North Greenbush - Helen I. Nazar Bassett, 74, died Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Cohoes, she was daughter of the late Mary Nazar and wife for 44 years of Bruce R. Bassett. She was raised in Middleport, PA and resided in Wynantskill for  the past 39 years. 

Helen worked for New York State for 30 years, most recently was an Audit Clerk for the State Comptrollers Office.   

She enjoyed baking and candy making. She struggled, successfully, to make the perfect peanut butter cup.    

Survivors in addition to her husband include several cousins.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 4-7 PM.
