Troy - Heather Kilmer, 70, died Wednesday, February 14, 2023, at Evergreen Commons after a long battle with Parkinson’s.
Born in Fareham, England, she was the daughter of the late Thomas McKenzie and Jeanne Boal McKenzie and wife for 50 years of Arthur F. Kilmer. Heather was born in Fareham, England but raised and educated in Cheltenham, England. She moved to the United States in 1973 and has since resided in the Troy area.
Heather was a special education teacher at Troy High School for 30 years retiring in 2015.
She was a member of the Capital District Parkinson’s Support Group. She was an avid reader who enjoyed knitting and baking.
Survivors in addition to her husband, include her 2 children, Jessica (Stephen) Trowbridge, Glenmont and Benjamin (Allison) Kilmer, Niantic, CT; her grandchildren, Jack and Will Trowbridge and Liam, Emily and Olivia Kilmer; and her brother, David (Kate) Nicholls, England.
A memorial service is to be planned in the spring
