Troy - Grace S. Hoffay Hamilton Bringing Good, 88, died Monday, January 20, 2025, at Collar City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Edward Hoffay and Josephine Fariello Hoffay and wife for 10 years of the late Larry D. Bringing Good. She had resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Cobleskill Ag and Tech for food service.
Grace was a dietician at Cohoes and Saratoga Hospitals and was a waitress for 40 years at the Palace Diner and Raphaels and other restaurants. She was also a licensed hairdresser.
She was a member of Single Squares Square Dance group, Uncle Sam Sparklers and taught exercise at Cohoes and Troy Senior Centers. Grace enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting and was a friend of Bill W. for over 46years.
Survivors include her children, Doreen (Kim) Gorman, Robert E. (Linda) Cone, Thomas P. (Paula) Cone, Scott E. Cone, Troy, Anita Ward and Jennifer Hoffay; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a brother, Thomas (Diane) Hoffay, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Irene MacRoberts.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday, January24, 2025 from 5-7PM with a funeral service to follow at 7PM, with Rev. David Martin, Pastor of Hope United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery Poestenkill.
