Grace E. (Carello) Clemente

North Greenbush - Grace E. Carello Clemente, 86, died Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a  long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Sebastian Carello and Giovanna Staglino Carello and wife of the late Salvatore P. Clemente. She had resided formerly on Hudson Drive in Brunswick, was a graduate of Troy High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College. 

Grace was employed in food service at Rensselaer Polytechinc Institute for Daka Food Service. 

Grace gave generously of herself to help out her peers volunteering as a state-certified Office of the Aging ombudsman and member of several senior advisory boards. 

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.    

Survivors include a son, Michael R. (Darlene) Clemente, Waterford; two daughters, Patricia A. (Pat) Mulcahy, Florida and Donna M. Clemente, Troy and her sibling, Theresa Agars, North Greenbush.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Gee, Bryan (Kim) Miller, Seann (Kate) Mulcahy, Tara (Eric) Crawshaw, Michael (Danielle) Clemente, and Megan (Greg) Tessier and 9 great grandchildren, McKenzie, Annabella and Jameson Gee, Kaitlyn and Dylan Miller,  Ethan, Colin and Hallie Crawshaw and Nicholas Clemente. She was predeceased by six brothers, Anthony, Nicholas, Russell, Joseph, Frederick and Salvatore Carello. 

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 4-7PM. 

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 9:30AM at the funeral home and at 10AM at Sacred Heart Church Pawling Avenue Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Patrick Rice. 

Interment will be in  Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
