NORTH GREENBUSH — Gladys M. Berry, 98 died Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Poestenkill, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Grace Mohl; and wife of the late Ernest Berry, a World War II Army veteran, Pearl Harbor survivor and Life Member of Wynantskill Fire Department.

The family sold the farm at the end of the war and moved to Wynantskill where she met and married her husband Ernie. Gladys worked as a secretary at the former John A. Manning Paper Mill in Green Island for a number of years before leaving to raise and take care of her two daughters, Wendy and Shirley.

She was predeceased by a sister, Thelma Miller, and a brother, Ralph Mohl.
