George Snyder, Jr. Obituary

Wynantskill - George W. Snyder, Jr., 78, of Snyders Lake died Monday, September 13, 2021, at St. Peter's Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Albany, he was the son of the late George W. Snyder, Sr. and Winifred Novotny Snyder. He had resided in Wynantskill for the past 70 years.

George was employed by the Town of North Greenbush for 30 years. He served in the National Guard.

He was a past member of the Adirondack Woodsmen Sportsman Club. George loved fishing, dirt modified races and spending time with his families.

Survivors include his brother, John T. (Kathleen Camprone) Snyder, Wynantskill; and his nephews, John Snyder, Jr., Thomas (Cindy) Snyder and Timothy Snyder; and many great nieces and nephews. George loved spending time and caring for Nancy Wong, who passed away, and her family including Melissa Niedhammer, Robert Danko, James Wong, Kim-Leigh Danko, and Michaela Phillips.

A private gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.
