West Sand Lake - George W. Fradenburg, Jr., 88, died Tuesday, September 6, 2022, on his birthday, at St. Peter's Hospital Hospice Inn Albany after a long illness.
Born in Rifton, NY, he was son of the late George W. Fradenburg, Sr. and Dora Terpening Fradenburg and husband of Margaret A. Foster Fradenburg. He was raised in Rifton, NY and resided in West Sand Lake for many years.
George was a truck and automobile master mechanic for most of his life, working in his own shop and for Mack Trucks and Wells Fargo, retiring 23 years ago.
He was the president of the Taconic Valley Rod and Gun Club, had a love for boating at Cape Cod and Lake Champlain and a real passion for riding motorcycle
Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Scott (Nina) Fradenburg, Long Island; his stepchildren, Brenda (Daniel) McGloine, Joe (Sue) Mason and Scott Mason; a nephew, Dom (Paula) Carlino and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Vicki Fradenburg Slade and sister, Cissie Carlino.
Funeral service private at the convenience of the family.
