WATERFORD- Fred DeCenzo, age 72, former resident of Troy, died peacefully on November 11, 2021 with his sons by his side.
Born in Rensselaer, he was the son of the late Marco DeCenzo and Elvira Biasucci DeCenzo. Fred worked for the City of Troy Department of Public Works for more than 30 years retiring in 2004.
He enjoyed fishing, making his daily “rounds” to visit his friends, and anything related to cars. He will always be remembered for having his head under the hood with his brother, Bernard (Sonny).
Survivors include his sons Shawn D. (Brigette) DeCenzo of Glenville and Daniel P. (Sarah) DeCenzo of Galway. He is also survived by his granddaughters Brooke Alexis and Lilliana Grace. Fred held a special place in his heart for his stepsons Jason Towne and Daniel Towne.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 4 – 6PM at the Bryce Funeral Home, 276 Pawling Avenue, Troy, NY 12180.
Fred will have a private burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rensselaer.
