Evelyn M. (Stockford) Hetman

Brunswick - Evelyn M. Hetman, 85, passed away October 12, 2021 surrounded by family. Affectionately known as “Mary” by family and friends she was born May 14, 1936 in Oxford England. She met and married her husband John while he was stationed (U.S. Air Force) in England after the Korean War. They returned together to the United States in 1956 settling in the Troy – Center Brunswick area. 

Mary was employed for many years in clerical sales for the H.L. Green Store in Troy and F.W. Woolworth Store in Menands until retiring upon the closing of Woolworth in 1997. Mary enjoyed family gatherings, holidays, TV Game and Court shows, baseball games, Madisen’s hockey games and trips to the casino with friends Donna, Joan, Pat, Katherine and her late best friend Eileen to play the slots. 

She is pre-deceased by her husband John Hetman Sr. and son John Hetman Jr. She is survived by her son David (Loni) Hetman of Troy, granddaughter, Madisen of Vermontville NY and several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service which will be held Monday, October18, 2021 at 2PM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy. Face covering and social distancing are required if not vaccinated. 

Interment will be in Eagle Mills Cemetery.
