Erma L. (Ball) Kossuth

Cohoes- Erma Ball Kossuth age 97 born September 2, 1923 formerly of North Greenbush died on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, New York. 

Born in Honaker, Virginia, in the heart the Blue Ridge Mountains, she was the daughter of the late Elden and Etta Addison Ball and the wife of the late Warren J. Kossuth who passed in 1987.,   Erma resided in Honaker until she was 18 and then lived on Long Island for many years before moving to North Greenbush in 1990. She was a graduate of Honaker High School.  Erma was a homemaker and worked in a munitions plant making hand grenades for the war effort. Mom told us that her family came to the new world in 1623 but research on Archives proves that  her 12th great grandmother Patience Brewster Prence arrived on the Mayflower in 1620. 

Survivors include her children, Susan Aluck and Judy (Joseph) Napolitano; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Aluck, Edward (Sarah) Aluck and Joseph (Concetta), James (Lisa), Douglas (Esther), Thomas (Noelle), Dominic (Tania), Luke( Tina) and Michael Napolitano and her great grandchildren, Emma and Sophia Aluck and Victoria, Anthony, Matthew, Cecelia, Christina, Adriana, Theresa, Filomena, Joseph and Katarina Napolitano. She is also fondly remembered by her brother in law, Jack Smith and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Alan Kossuth and her brothers and sisters, Helen, Clyde, Kenneth, Virginia and Mildred.   

We would like to thank the Community Hospice for Moms peaceful passing and for arranging for us to spend time with Mom in full PPE, for the last ten days and the exemplary and loving care Mom received by the wonderful staff at house 10 at eddy Village Green. 

Due to the Covid restrictions there will be no funeral at his time and Mom will be interred at the National Cemetery on Long Island with our father.
