E Anne (Bulmer) Murphy

Poestenkill - E Anne Bulmer Murphy passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany due to complications from cardiac surgery.

Anne was born in Troy, NY on October 5, 1950 to the late John H. Bulmer, Sr. and Elizabeth A. Levick Bulmer and wife of 52 years to James E. Murphy.

She attended St. Mary’s School in Troy, graduated in 1968 from Catholic Central High School and attained an Associate’s Degree from Hudson Valley Community College. Anne enjoyed a long career with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles Revenue Accounting until her retirement. A fan of Broadway musicals and sports, Anne loved Hamilton and the Yankees. She supported her children and grandchildren by attending countless games over the last five decades. 

Anne was preceded in death by her brothers, John H. and William A. Bulmer and her sister, Deborah J. Hart. 

In addition to her husband, Jay, Anne is survived by her two sons, James J. (Megan) and John T. (Sarah); her sister and best friend, Alice Marie Bulmer; the five lights of Anne’s life, her grandchildren Ryan, Justin, Lauren, Benjamin and Madelyn; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue, Troy on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 4 - 7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10AM at Sacred Heart Church 475 Pawling Avenue, Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with, Rev. John Yanas, Pastor, officiating. 

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
