Troy - Dorothy Gardner Bentley Multunas, 91, died peacefully Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center.
Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late Fred E. Gardner and Catherine Foster Gardner and wife of the late Gordon Bentley and Jules W. Multunas, Sr. She had resided in Wynantskill most of her life and was a 1948 graduate of Troy High School.
Dot worked several years at the National City Bank in Troy, taking courses from the American Institute of Banking while there and was a homemaker for many years.
She was an active member of the Third Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder, Deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Survivors include her step children, Terry (Gloria) Bentley, Ross (Martha) Bentley, Kevin (Pauline) Bentley, Jules William (Natalia) Multunas Jr., Susan Ann (Peter) Laz, Troy and Brian John (Rhetta) Multunas; a cousin, Lawrence Mickel; a nephew, William (Colleen) Gardner; a niece, Cathy (Shawn) Ryan and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Janice Marie Bentley; a sister, Dr. Freda Gardner and a brother, James Gardner.
Relatives and friends may call at the Third Presbyterian Church 115 Winter Street Troy on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 9-10 AM with a funeral service to follow at 10AM with Rev. John McAuley, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Cemetery of the Evergreens New Lebanon.
