Doris Ann (Ryan) Waruch

Doris Ann Waruch passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 in Troy, New York. 

Born in Ellenville, New York February 9, 1927 to her parents, Kenneth and Clara Ryan, she resided there her entire life until October of 2021 when she moved to Troy, New York to be nearer to family. 

She is survived by her four children, Nancy Waruch of Simpsonville, SC,  Cynthia Houck Casto of Phoenix, AZ,  Penny Waruch of Greenfield, MA, Steven Waruch of Troy NY; sister Janet Buell and three nieces, and several great nieces and nephews of Staten Island, NY.  

Doris lived a full life on her own terms which were defined by her calm and kind, but determined nature. She loved and appreciated the natural world of beautiful flowers, trees, water, birds and animals, all things “Mother Nature” provided. She was loved and admired for her strong will and her amazing resilience to adversity. In addition to her love for exploring the beautiful area surrounding her home town of Ellenville, she also encouraged and created opportunities for her children to explore other interests and see new areas of the country or the world. Her life was remarkably long and she will be greatly missed by her family.
