Domenico Pirritano, 78 of Wynantskill, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Samaritan Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Domenico was born in Cardinale, Province of Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy on January 11, 1947 and was the son of the late Sebastiano Pirritano and MariaGrazia (Mammone) Pirritano. Domenico married his loving wife Maria (Marra) Pirritano, in Italy and were married for 53 years.

Domenico and Maria fulfilled their dream of coming to America in 1972 where they lived in Troy, NY before moving to Wynantskill in 1985 where they have resided since. 

Domenico was a great and talented mason working for The Beltrone Construction Company throughout the Capital Region until retiring in 1994. Domenico loved playing the guitar as a young man and played in bands throughout Italy and Germany with his brothers, friends and best friend Albert Mugrace. He was a great poker player as well and was the best at making homemade wine. 

Survivors in addition to his loving and caring wife Maria are his children, Sebastiano (Elizabeth) Pirritano of Florida, MariaGrazia (Joseph) Mahar of Troy, and Andrew Pirritano also of Troy. Loving Grandfather to Daniella Mahar and Victoria Pirritano. Brothers Vincenzo Pirritano and Carmelo Pirritano, both of Germany, and many nieces and nephews. Domenico was predeceased by his sister Elisabeth Pirritano, Italy.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 4 - 7PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 10AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church 175 Williams Road, Troy.

Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Rensselaer.
