Troy - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, December 5, 2022, of our beautiful and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Dolores A. Mancino Kokernak, 86, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness. She was sweet and kind and her heart was filled with love.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Joseph A. Mancino and Marion Bulmer Mancino and wife for 66 years of Thaddeus Kokernak. She was a lifelong resident of the Stowe Hill area of Troy and was a 1955 graduate of Troy High School.
Dolores was an administrative assistant for MainCare and formerly was a telephone operator for Montgomery Ward.
She enjoyed the casinos and racino and looking out her window at wildlife. Our family was so blessed to have her with us as long as we did and we thank God for that. We are comforted by the knowledge that we will see her again, and she will be happy and healthy..
Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Barbara (Edward) Divinsky, Loudonville; a son, Joseph (Karyn) Kokernak, Watervliet; her adoring grandchildren, David (Lindsey) Divinsky, Victoria (Shawn) Smith, Matthew (Rene) Kokernak and Schuyler (Leonard) Baker, 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Linda Manning, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
