Troy - Diane Louise McLean, 79, died Friday, June 13, 2025, at Eddy Heritage House Nursing Center after a steady decline.
Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Joseph Osterhout and Josephine Gill Osterhout and wife for 16 years of the late Joseph L. McLean, the love of her life. She had resided in the Albany area most of her life.
Diane was a waitress, a homemaker, and she retired as a school crossing guard for the city of Albany.
She was a lifetime member of The Polish American Citizen Club Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Joseph E. Zaloga Post 1520 Auxiliary. Diane enjoyed socializing, dancing, bowling and darts. She also had fun working as a clown at children's parties.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Lucy Osterhout; her nieces and nephews, Andrew Osterhout, Hillary Chandler, Beth Bodai, Sharon Carson, Michael McLean and MaryAnn Palumbo. She also had a number of great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Diane was predeceased by her brother Raymond Osterhout and her sister JoAnn Lowe.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11:30AM at St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Road, Menands, NY. Please meet at the entrance of the cemetery at 11:15 AM.
Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery Menands.
