Troy - Dennis Anthony Perpetua Sr., 77, died Saturday, November 12, 2022, at his residence after a long illness.
Born in Catskill, NY, he was son of the late Anthony Perpetua and Julia Elizabeth Cardinale Perpetua and husband for 20 years of Sherry Fesh Perpetua. He was raised in Catskill and had resided in Troy 22 years and was a graduate of St. Patrick's Academy, Catskill, Catskill High School, and attended Hudson Valley Community College.
Dennis was an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance from 1970-75, he was a salesman for Service Liquor from 1975-1988, owner of Fowler's Liquor in Delmar from 1988-2001 and most recently a Sr. Communications Dispatcher for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2002 until his retirement in 2017.
Dennis was a member of the American Legion and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War serving proudly on the USS Wasp (CVS-18).
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Dennis Anthony (Lauren Polvere) Perpetua, Jr., Lake Placid, Devin Ashley (Jackie) Perpetua, Warwick, NY, Jennifer Waite, Vernon, NJ and David (Carol) Marut, Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Luca and Emily Perpetua, Kyle and Rowan Waite and Lauren Marut; two step daughters, Lisa Marie Foster, Valley Falls and Amy Christine (Gilles) Vautrin, Valley Falls; his step grandchildren, Ryan (Amy) Foster, East Lyme, CT, Sarah (Nick) Napoli, Schaghticoke, Ian Foster, Alyssa (Frank Adams) Vautrin, Valley Falls and Aidan, Emma and Owen Foster, Valley Falls and two step great grandchildren, Brynlee Napoli and Tatum Foster and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Cynthia (Eugene) D’Avella.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue, Troy on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 3-6PM.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 10AM at the funeral home with Rev. Edward Kacerguis, officiating.
Interment will be Monday at 12 Noon at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
