Daniel Patrick Hansen

Troy - Daniel Patrick Hansen, 69, died suddenly Sunday, October 9, 2022, in Nassau, NY.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Harold C. Hansen and Eleanor May Haughney Hansen and husband for 35 years of Theresa Allen Hansen. He was raised on Main Avenue in Wynantskill and resided for 30 years in Troy and was a graduate of St. Jude’s School, Troy High School and Hudson Valley Community College. 

Daniel was an appliance repairman for Earl B. Feiden in Latham for 30 years, retiring in 2021 and also worked at Montgomery Ward and Honeywell.  

He enjoyed collecting and fixing things and always enjoyed a good laugh.    

Survivors in addition to his wife include three brothers, Mark A. (Rita) Hansen, Averill Park, David B. (Gail) Hansen, Wynantskill and Richard J. Hansen, Brunswick; his aunt, Margaret Church, Wynantskill; his in-laws, Sam Lowe, Patricia Allen CSJ, Edward J. Allen, Margaret Allen and Kathleen Allen Chan and several cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends may call at Sacred Heart Church  475 Pawling Avenue Troy on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 8:30 AM - 10AM with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10AM with Rev. John Yanas, Pastor. 

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery Wynantskill.
