Colleen M. (Ernst) Hale

Wynantskill - Colleen M. Ernst Hale, 66, died Friday, April 25, 2025, at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Ernst and Shirley Malo Ernst. She had resided in the Averill Park and Wynantskill areas all her life and was a graduate of Averill Park High School.

Colleen was employed in the banking and mortgage industry for 41 years, at Marine Midland, HSBC and most recently SEFCU, retiring in 2024.  

She was a communicant of St. Henry's Church in Averill Park and enjoyed family vacations, especially going to Disney World and New Jersey. Colleen enjoyed going to casinos and was a lover of cats and dogs, having several pets throughout her life.

Survivors include a son, Jason M. (Michelle) Hale, East Greenbush; a sister, Michele (Thomas) Osterhout, Clifton Park; a brother, Robert (Tammy) Ernst, East Poestenkill; a granddaughter, Evelyn Hale and a niece, Danielle R. Gannon, Clifton Park.  She was predeceased by a niece, Stephanie A. Gannon. 

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 4-7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 10AM at the funeral home with Deacon Nick Ascioti, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Waterford.
