Claire Doyle McLaughlin

North Greenbush - Claire McLaughlin, 78, of  Eastwyck Circle died Sunday, May 23, 2021, at her residence.

Born and raised in Troy, she was daughter of the late James J. Doyle and Wilda  (Lee) Doyle. Claire resided most of her life in Pittsfield and Dalton, MA and recently moved to North Greenbush. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and St. Luke's Hospital of Nursing

Claire was a registered nurse at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA for over 40 years retiring in 2011. In addition, she worked summers at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA providing nursing support to First Aid, and continued to work as a visiting nurse in the Pittsfield area after her retirement.

Claire was a private person, a prickly pear at times, proud of her nursing career where she met lifelong friends. She had a good sense of humor, enjoyed a cup of tea and she loved cats, including her surviving cat, Shamrock. She loved shopping, and in previous years enjoyed traveling to visit family in Chicago, and traveling with friends to Cape Cod and other locations.

She is survived by her siblings, James Doyle (Rosemary, deceased),  William Doyle (Roxanne, deceased) , and Timothy Doyle (Cathryn); her nieces, Colleen Mack, Deborah Doyle (Ed), Theresa Stewart (Stephen), Susan Fontanetta (Mike), Susan Kieper (Steven)  and Kerri Ward; and her nephews, James Doyle (Karen), Michael Doyle (Michele), William Doyle (Wendi) , Patrick Doyle, Sean Doyle(Cassidy), and Liam Doyle.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 5 - 6PM followed by a service at 6PM  with Very Rev. Anthony Ligato, officiating. Face covering and social distancing are required inside during visitation and services.
