It is with great sadness that we announce Claire L. (O'Neil) Kiley, 94, of Troy, NY passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024, with her family by her side.
Claire was the daughter of William and Marjorie (Hanks) O’Neil and wife of the late William J. Kiley.
Claire was employed by New York Telephone Company, many area bakeries, and Niagara Mohawk.
Claire had lots of hobbies, including playing cards with her friends and her family, the Saratoga Racino, bocce, and the Yankees. One of her favorite times of the year would be the annual family trip to Cape Cod. She was a member of the East Side Seniors and the St. Michael’s Women’s Guild. Of all her interests and hobbies, the most important part of her life was her family. She was the glue that kept everything together.
Claire is survived by her children Sharon Costello, Jeff (Emily Pawlak) Kiley, and Kim (Chris) Keado. She is survived by her eight loving grandchildren John (Lauren) Costello, Kevin (Eric Mangahis) Keado, Kiley (Dan) Donovan, Max (Gabrielle) Keado, Will Kiley, Michael Costello, Brian (Gabi) Kiley and Jake Keado, great grandchildren Jameson and Kade Keado and Harper Donovan. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Claire loved and will be missed by all her grand dogs and grand cats.
Along with her husband and her parents, Claire is pre-deceased by her siblings, Jeanne Gillespie, William O’Neil, and Betty Coonradt and her son-in-law Jack Costello.
She is finally reunited with her husband after 49 years.
The family would like to thank the staff on the 4th floor Medicus Pavilion at Samaritan Hospital and the staff at Community Hospice for their support and loving care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 175 Williams Road Troy with Rev. Patrick Rice , Pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery Troy.
