Christine (Fitzgerald) McLaughlin

Troy - Christine Fitzgerald McLaughlin, 72, died Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn Albany, after a brief illness. 
                    
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Harold Fitzgerald and Gloria Demarco Fitzgerald. She had resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1970, Hudson Valley Community College and earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Russell Sage College.

Chris was employed as a Special Project Manager for the New York School Board Association in Latham for 10 years and prior to that worked at Fagan Associates on Hoosick Road Brunswick and was an Adjunct Teacher.

She loved gardening and her greatest joy was looking after her granddaughter.  

Survivors include her daughter, Gloria McLaughlin, Troy; her son, Stephen (Alena) McLaughlin, Wynantskill; her granddaughter, Amelia Samoray McLaughlin; her sister, Colleen (Robert) Kewley; a niece, Erica (James) Oates; a nephew, Matthew Kewley; a grand nephew, Archie Oates and special friends, Bonnie Gooley and family and the late John.             

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 1-3PM with a funeral service to follow at 3PM.
