North Greenbush - Christa Ingraham Shiffer, 57, of Winter Street Extension died Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at her residence after a brief illness.
Born in Biddeford, ME, she was daughter of Mary Kurtz Ingraham and the late Rev. C. Joseph Ingraham. She had resided in North Greenbush for the past 20 years and was a graduate of the National Technical Institute for the Deaf at RIT.
Christa worked in the archives section at the New York State Museum and enjoyed helping preserve pieces of history. She enjoyed scrap-booking, and her pets, Piper, Snuggles and Smokey.
Survivors in addition to her mom include her children, Samantha (Aaron Betancourt) Shiffer, Schenectady, Daniel (Rose Anderson) Shiffer, Dickson City, PA and Meghan Shiffer, North Greenbush; three grandchildren, Steven MacIsaac and Eva and Selene Betancourt; her siblings, Stephen (Venessa) Ingraham, Joseph 'Jay' (Christine) Ingraham and Marilisa (Jay) Dowling and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on next Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 2-4 PM with a service to follow at 4 PM with Rev. Karen Pollan, officiating. Face covering and social distancing are required if not vaccinated.
