Catherine (Grady) Panichi

Wynantskill - Catherine Grady Panichi, 100, died Friday, May 10, 2024, at Van Rensselaer Manor surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Daniel Zukowski Grady and Mary O’Grady Grady and wife of the late Peter Panichi. She had resided in the Troy and Wynantskill areas all her life and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School.

She was a member of the women’s bowling league at Hi-Way Recreation in Wynantskill, the Wynantskill Senior Citizens and a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church.   

Survivors include her grandchildren, Candice Panichi (Kevin Baker), Glenmont, John S. Panichi, Wynantskill and William P. O’Neil (Tracy), Wynantskill; her daughter-in-law, Connie Panichi, Wynantskill; her son-in-law, William J. O’Neil ( Sandy), Wynantskill; great-grandchildren, Lauren O’Neil and McKenna O’Neil and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, John D. Panichi; her daughter, Mary Ellen O’Neil; two brothers, Jack and Bert Grady and in-laws, Dominic and Olive Panichi.
    
Relatives and friends may call at the St. Jude the Apostle Church, 43 Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill, on Tuesday, May14, 2024 from 9-10AM. A Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Rev. Patrick Rice, Pastor following at 10AM. Interment will be in  St. Mary’s Cemetery Troy.
