Brian Arthur Schell

Brian Arthur Schell, 80, died Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness.        

Born in Norwood, MA, he was son of the late Arthur Schell and Natalie Rose Schell and husband for 42 years of Arlene B. Tashjian Schell. He was raised in Norwood, MA and resided in Hampton Manor Rensselaer, Averill Park, Stephentown and Nassau the past 10 years. Brian attended King Philip Regional High School.

Brian was a truck driver and operated Brian Schell Trucking. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 294 and enjoyed his animals.  

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Mona (William Carner) Van Alstyne-Carner; two grandchildren, Lindsey Van Alstyne and Elizabeth Carner and several nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, April 20, 2026 from 5-7 PM.
