Barbara Anne (Barry) Forman

Spring Hill, TN - Barbara Anne Forman, a beacon of kindness and selflessness, passed away after a long illness on February 22, 2024, in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Born on October 12, 1938, in Harrison County, Iowa, Barbara’s friendly spirit and warm heart touched all those she encountered throughout her 85 years of life.

Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Arthur E. Forman. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, a legacy continued by their children: sons Dale (Gail) Forman of Chelmsford, MA, and Dean Forman of Cohoes, NY; daughters Diane (Jeff) Forman of Las Vegas, NV, and Dawn Forman of Spring Hill, TN. Barbara’s role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, and her guidance and affection were the pillars of her family.

A proud graduate of North High School in Omaha, Nebraska, Barbara’s dedication to her community was evident in her work as a school bus driver for the Brittonkill Central School District, where she ensured the safe transportation of children for 18 years until her retirement in 1993. Her commitment to the well-being of others was a testament to her character, and her absence will be profoundly felt by those who knew her.

Beyond her professional life, Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid gardener, taking pride in her vegetable patch, and her hands were rarely still as she was often found crocheting and knitting, creating beautiful pieces for her family and friends. Her hobbies were more than pastimes; they were expressions of her love and care for those around her.

As we bid farewell to Barbara, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and grace. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her, and her memory will be cherished forever. Barbara Anne Forman’s legacy of love, family, and friendship will endure, a testament to a life well-lived.
