Asunta 'Sue' (Centanni) Brennan

Poestenkill -  Asunta ‘Sue’ C. Brennan, 86, of Poestenkill  passed away at home On April 1st 2023,under the care of Community Hospice.

Asunta was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Genevieve Centanni;  her son, Mark Jude, and her beloved husband of 59 years, Richard.

Sue retired from NYS Department of Criminal Justice Services. However her true passion was her family. She loved all the kids swimming in the pool, Wednesday family night dinners and vacations with the grandchildren. She was an amazing knitter and her cross stitch work is beautiful.

Survivors  include her children, Michael J. (Lourdes) Brennan, Kathleen (Glenn) Claydon, Mary-Ellen (her fiance Frankie) St. Pierre and Jason (Heather) Brennan; her grandchildren - Colleen (Scott) Brennan, Ian (Andrea) Claydon, Madaline (David) Jenkins and Jeremy, Lauren, Andrew, Alisha and Stone Brennan; her great grandchildren, Jordan Shea and Eleanor and Lucille Jenkins; a daughter-in-law,  Amy Vandeloo Brennan and her brother-in-law, Terry (Mary) Brennan. Also survived by her siblings, Ann, Grace, Louie (Joan), Josephine and Michael.    She will be terribly missed by her dearest friends, Clarita and Joanne and her "family" of Ott St. neighbors. The family appreciates the love, support and time they all gave to her.

Relatives and friends may call at the Gardner Earl Chapel  186 Oakwood Avenue Troy on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 9-10 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10AM  with Rev. Thomas F. Holmes , officiating. We request that everyone dress comfortably in their favorite blue jeans. Sue loved hers.

Interment will be in  Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
