Cohoes - Arthur F. O'Donnell, 88, of Eddy Village Green, House 6, died Sunday, July 24, 2022, after a long illness.
Born in Cropseyville, he was son of the late James O'Donnell and Erma Bornt O'Donnell and husband of the late Shirley J. Murphy O'Donnell who died in 2017. He was raised in Cropseyville and resided on the East Side of Troy for 28 years.
Art was employed at Garden Way in Lansingburgh in building maintenance for 28 years, retiring 28 years ago.
He was a member of East Side Seniors and its bocce league and Troy Seniors. He was a lifelong member of the Brunswick Lodge of Elks.
Survivors include a son, David W. O'Donnell, Bradenton, FL; a daughter, Debra (Jack) Pelletier, Troy; 3 grandchildren, Justin (Carmen) Pelletier, Arlington, VA, Coty (Cat) Pelletier, Glen Allen, VA and Valarie (Cassius) Franklyn, Arlington, VA; four great grandchildren, Aurelia Pelletier and Pierce Franklyn and twin Xavier and Akiera Franklyn; a sister, Mary Fowler of Grafton, with whom he shared a very special bond, spending time playing games for hours, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Dewey.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 3 - 5PM.
Funeral service will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 at 10AM at the funeral home with Deacon Charles Wojton, officiating.
Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum Colonie.
