Ara Altounian

Brunswick - Ara Altounian, 72, died Friday, June 7, 2024, at Samaritan Hospital after a sudden illness.

Born in Cairo, Egypt, he was the son of the late Vahe Altounian and Maida Goudsouzian Altounian and husband of Rachel Dolab Altounian.

Ara was the operations manager for Rug and Carpet Outlet of Troy. Ara was Commander of the local Davros chapter of the Knights of Vartan.

Survivors in addition to his  wife Rachel include his daughter, Valerie (Zachary) Levinson and his brother, Alain Altounian.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 4 - 7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 11 at 11AM at Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church 255 Spring Avenue Troy with Rev. Vahan Kouyoumdjian, officiating.

Interment will be in  Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
