North Greenbush - Anne Sullivan Morgan, 94, passed away, Monday, March 10, 2025 at Van Rensselaer Manor.
She was the daughter of Dr. Charles and Margaret Ring Sullivan. Anne was born in Cohoes and raised in Troy. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and received a BA and MA in Biology from SUNY Albany. She did further graduate work at the University of Maryland.
Anne held teaching positions at SUNY Potsdam and Troy High School and retired from Hudson Valley Community College as a full Professor after teaching in the Biology Department for thirty years. After her retirement Mrs. Morgan was appointed to the Board of Directors of the HVCC Foundation where she served as the Chairman of the Scholarship Committee. She was the first recipient of the Award for Distinguished Service to HVCC. Anne was a faithful communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Church in North Greenbush where she was a Eucharistic Minister, taught in the RCIA program and was active in Pastoral Care.
She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Frank J Morgan, Emeritus Dean of Liberal Arts and Troy attorney and also by her sister Mary Elizabeth Horgan. Survivors include her nieces, Elizabeth Higgins MD, Dr. Margaret Miller, Dr. Mary Teresa Morgan and her nephews, Daniel K. Horgan and the Hon. Paul V. Morgan Jr.
Friends are welcome and invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, March 14th at St. Michael the Archangel Church on Williams Road Troy with Rev. Edward Kacerguis.
