Troy - Ann Judith Vitalius, 96, died Saturday, March 21, 2026, at The Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center after a long illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Joseph Jolivette and Catherine St. Onge Jolivette. She was the wife for 45 years of the late Kenneth Raymond Vitalius. She had resided in Troy as a young child, and the Wynantskill area on Reichard Lane. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, class of 1946.
Ann was employed as a Supervisor for the New York State Department of Labor for 15 years, retiring .in 1979.
She was an active member of the Alzheimers Association of The Samaritan Hospital, an Ambassador at Albany County Airport, and a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill.
Survivors include her two daughters, Jo Ann (Robert R. Jr.) Vitalius-Wood, of Falmouth, Massachusetts, and Cathleen Marie (Anthony J.) Elia, of Lake Luzerne, NY.Her grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Shade, Robert R. Wood III and Nicholas Anthony and Joseph Raymond Elia. She was predeceased by four sisters, Margaret Ryan, Catherine Trickey, Jeanne Henrikson, and Elaine Beehm.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Ave. Troy on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 4-6PM.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday March 31, 2026 at 8:30 AM at the funeral home and 9:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church, Brookside Avenue Wynantskill, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph O’Brien.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery Wynantskill.
