Guilderland - Ann Marie Gunn Sorell, 84, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2021 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center after a long illness.
Born in Troy, NY she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Mabel Brust Gunn and the devoted wife of the late Albert Joseph Sorell.
Ann was a very strong person and was the dedicated caretaker of her husband for many years during his illness, always at his side, fulfilling his every need.
She was an avid reader, always with a book in her hand and enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
Ann held her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews close to her heart always and held a special place in her heart for her grand puppies, Molly and Dozer. She gave so much of herself, always willing to share her knowledge and strength and would be there for anyone who needed her. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter, Victoria Gauch, East Nassau; her granddaughters, Cara (Steven) Brochu, Gloucester Point, VA and Jennifer Moore, Lee Summit, MO; her great granddaughters, Braylin Brochu and Lylah Moore; her daughter-in-law, Debra Sorell, Knob Noster, MO; two sisters, Mabel Collins, Troy, NY and Celeste (Mark) Snyderman, Rome, NY; nephews, Matthew Snyderman, Rochester, NY and Kristian Collins; and nieces, Ann McGowan, Marcy, NY and Faith Collins, Wynantskill, NY. She was predeceased by her son, Gregory Sorell, her brother, George Gunn and a sister, Charmagne, Gunn.
Funeral service private at the convenience of the family. Interment in Memory Gardens Colonie.
