TROY – Alyce D. Knabe died Monday, September 13, 2021, at her residence after an extended illness, surrounded by her compassionate caregivers.
Born in Troy, she was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. She was the wife of the late Gus Knabe, and they made their home in Montgomery AL where she lived for over 50 years before returning to Troy.
She is survived by her sister, Diane D. Taynton of Oklahoma; a niece, Alexandra (Mark) Moore of Oklahoma and their children, Vera and Ava; and a nephew, L. Christian (Holly) Taynton of Minnesota and their children, Oliver and Lucia.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 310 Spring Ave, Troy, with Rev John Yanas officiating. Face covering and social distancing are required if not vaccinated.
Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Watervliet.
