Schuylerville - Alton E. Weeden, 78, died suddenly Thursday, January 8, 2026.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late Harold E. Weeden and Hazel M. Kneer Weeden. He was raised and resided in the Troy area all his life.
Alton was a self employed truck driver operating Weeden Trucking in Brunswick for several years.
He enjoyed boating and was on bowling leagues in Mechanicville and East Greenbush.
Survivors include his children, Tina, Dolores and Kimberly Weeden; his stepson, Mike Boomhower; his siblings, Evelyn E. (John W. II) Grassmann, Betty Martin, Carol Baker and Lorraine J. (Rev. Wayne) Moritz; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Steven Weeden.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 3-6 PM.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, at 10 AM at the funeral home with his brother-in-law, Rev. Wayne Moritz, officiating.
Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
