Brunswick - Allen P. Siebert, 90, of Bulson Road died Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany after a brief illness.
Born in Bronx, NY, he was son of the late William Siebert and Celia Broderick Siebert and husband for 64 years of the late Lillian ‘Pat’ Lavers Siebert who passed away in June of 2020. He had resided in Cherry Plain, NY for 48 years and most recently in Brunswick.
Allen was co-owner with his wife, Pat, of the Bridgeway Pub in Cherry Plain, NY from 1971 to 1998, which was known for round and square dancing.
Allen was a member of the American Legion Taconic Valley Post 937 in Berlin and a life-member of both the Sullivan Jones VFW Post 7466 in Poestenkill and the Disabled American Veterans. Allen was a Corporal in the US Army in the 1st Battalion 32nd Infantry who served in North Korea during the Chosin Reservoir Campaign where he was a Purple Heart recipient..
Allen loved spending time with his family and enjoyed the time he spent at his camps at Crystal Lake in Albany County and currently at Dyken Pond.
Survivors include his two sons, James (Dianne) Siebert Sr., Cropseyville, Edward (Dawn) Siebert, SC; his grandchildren, Valerie (Ryan) Myers, Corey (Alexa) Allen Siebert, James Siebert, Jr. and Matthew (Akiko) Siebert; his great grandchildren, Aubrey, Sophie, and Olivia Myers and Leo Siebert.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 11AM - 12PM with a service at 12NOON. Face covering and social distancing are required if not vaccinated.
Interment will be in Berlin Community Cemetery.
